Sarah Cicconetti LGPC
(She/Them)
Sarah Cicconetti, LGPC (she/they) is a queer, non-binary, therapist who works with older teens and adults, particularly neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ clients. Sarah believes that each person is the expert on their own life. Their role as a therapist is to create a supportive, collaborative space where clients can explore who they are, what they want, and what may be standing in the way of living a life that feels authentic and meaningful to them.
Sarah has extensive experience working with autistic folks & ADHDers. Before becoming a therapist, she spent ten years as a special education teacher and has worked with autistic individuals across the lifespan. She holds master’s degrees in both Special Education and Mental Health Counseling and has presented on working with neurodivergent adults in therapy. This background shapes an approach that recognizes individual strengths, needs, communication styles, and ways of experiencing the world rather than expecting everyone to fit the same mold.
Sarah also enjoys working with people recovering from abusive or unhealthy relationships. They help clients make sense of what happened, rebuild trust in themselves, reconnect with their wants and needs, and find their voice again.
Their style is collaborative, affirming, and person-centered. Sarah draws from CBT, self-compassion-based work, and EMDR when appropriate for clients processing trauma. They also have additional training in polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships and welcome clients exploring identity, sexuality, and relationships without having to explain or defend who they are.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys solving variant Sudoku puzzles, reading, traveling, watching football, and spending time with their dog.
