Morgan Cregan LCPC

(She/Her)

Morgan Cregan, LCPC, LPC (She/Her), specializes in helping individuals process difficult relational experiences, connecting with their mind and body, fostering self-compassion, and increasing their sense of self. Morgan enjoys working primarily with older teens and adults. She excels in working with people with complex and relational trauma in order to heal their inner child, process difficult past experiences, and learn to re-connect with themselves in order to better navigate life. Morgan also offers couples counseling using a Gottman level 1 approach to help couples navigate disconnection, relational distress, and communication issues to help you build the happy, healthy relationship you deserve.

Morgan’s approach involves a somatic approach to connecting with the body in order to process feelings, identify distressing aspects of life, and recognize past experiences being held in the body and impacting how you are currently moving through the world. She strives to provide an open, patient, and accepting environment in order to model healthy relationships. While primarily incorporating somatic exploration and self exploration she also pulls from a systemic and cultural humility model in order to provide a safe space. Morgan is also trained in EMDR in order to inform her approach and work related to trauma.

Beyond her therapeutic work, Morgan enjoys connecting her own mind and body through practicing yoga, mindfulness, and meditation. She enjoys reading so please do not hesitate to ask her for a book recommendation. She offers telehealth services in the state of Maryland, being in-network with BlueCross BlueShield, United Healthcare Commercial (UHC), Aetna, and Cigna. She is able to provide superbills for those out-of-network with fees due at the time of appointment. For those seeking sliding scale options, Morgan will let you know if she has sliding-scale fee availability; she is also partnered with Pro Bono Counseling for those seeking services who may experience financial barriers to care.

Morgan is able to competently address a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, major life changes, stress, intrusive thinking, identity exploration, school-related stress, substance use, relational stress, as well as, family and relationship problems. Morgan is happy to work with you to establish collaborative goals and help you to achieve your own personal experience of wellness. During the initial session, expect thorough inquiries about the reasons for seeking therapy. Subsequently, sessions will typically move at the client’s pace to ensure a strong established therapeutic relationship and promote safety. Morgan takes a collaborative and client centered approach while challenging clients to explore difficult experiences through somatic and cognitive approaches while empowering clients to feel informed, in control, and safe.
