He helps you honor your values and lived experience, while finding the clarity, connection, and meaningful change that you’re seeking.

David integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and contemporary CBT (i.e. trauma-informed) to create personalized, impactful care. Sessions begin by collaboratively identifying your core values, which then guide how we set clear and achievable goals. Emphasizing mindfulness and approachable journaling practices, David provides practical tools designed to promote clarity, self-compassion, and lasting change beyond sessions. Really, David loves journaling.

David's Experience & Background
Before becoming a therapist, David spent over a decade working in rehabilitative care settings, including paraprofessional and clerical support, in a physical and occupational therapy office (PT/OT) specializing in hand rehabilitation, vision therapy for traumatic brain injury (TBI), and addressing body image concerns stemming from medical procedures and injury . He has extensive experience helping clients and loved ones navigate complex health systems.

At Magothy River Counseling, David provides inclusive outpatient therapy services primarily through telehealth.

Outside of his clinical work, David enjoys playing and composing music—a creative outlet he has cultivated since childhood—and spending time with his community.
